Mesaimeer Pump Station and Outfall Tunnel is the second phase of the Mesaimeer Surface and Ground Water Drainage Tunnel Project, which will provide a sustainable solution for the discharge of surface and storm water.
The Project scope of work involves the design and construction of Mesaimeer Pump Station and Outfall Tunnel projects which will provide a sustainable solution to discharge surface and stormwater. It includes the construction of a pumping station with 10 pumps and auxiliary facilities. The project also includes the construction of a 10 km tunnel offshore with a 3.7 m diameter. The project is designed to ensure the preservation of the marine environment, as the water, which will be pumped complies with the environmental assessment standards, and it is discharged 10 km off-shore to reduce the effect on the marine environment.
The newly constructed pumping station will be located at the end of Mesaimeer Tunnel south of Hamad International Airport. The pumping station will operate at a capacity of 19.7 cubic metres per second, its function is to pump water from Mesaimeer Tunnel, which was completed in 2016, to the new outfall tunnel.
We cooperate with the design department of Besix Dubai, for the design of the RDI-002 STEEL LIFTING STRUCTURE FOR GRP-RISER PIPE. Our main concern was the calculation design of the steel connections and the BIM interaction, regarding the steel detailing and the material reports.
